What is Revision Rhinoplasty?

Revision rhinoplasty applies to any patient who has previously undergone rhinoplasty one or more times and desires improvement in the appearance and often the function of the nose. These are among the most difficult cases aesthetic plastic surgeons face. Revision rhinoplasty is a more complicated procedure than the initial rhinoplasty. The buildup of scar tissue can make it increasingly more difficult to gain access to the nasal structures. Also, there can be limited cartilage left to properly resculpt the nose.
